Individual Counseling

Individual therapy, also known as psychotherapy, talk therapy or counseling, is a collaborative process between a therapist and client that aims to facilitate change and improve quality of life. Good therapy can help people confront barriers that interfere with emotional and mental well-being, and it can also increase positive feelings such as compassion, self-esteem, love, courage, and peace.

Individual psychotherapy sessions typically last 60 minutes with the frequency and duration of the session depending largely on your needs, treatment goals, and progress made.  There are many different types or modalities of therapy and psychological approaches to understanding and helping which may be used as a single treatment approach or a combination of several techniques.  In general, the goal is to talk through the mental health issues and help each client heal, grow, and move towards a more productive psychologically healthy life.
