Depending on the nature of a problem, group therapy can be an ideal choice for addressing related concerns and making positive changes.  Group therapy takes place once a week for an hour or two.  Some people attend individual therapy in addition to groups, while others participate in groups only.  Groups are designed to target a specific problem such as depression, anxiety, divorce or grief etc.  Other groups focus more generally on helping people deal with range of issues such as improving social skills, shyness, loneliness, low self-esteem and anger.
